About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established Building Services Consultancy on a 12-month contract (Outside IR35). This role offers the flexibility of remote working, with one day per week required in the Hampshire office and site visits across the region.

You will be responsible for delivering electrical building services designs for a variety of public sector projects, including schools, care homes, and council buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Design: Develop detailed designs for lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, security, and emergency systems.
• Project Management: Oversee electrical aspects of projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors, and local authorities to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Technical Documentation: Produce drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports to support project delivery.
• Site Support: Attend weekly office meetings and conduct site visits across Hampshire to inspect installations and resolve issues.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs align with BS7671, Part L, CIBSE, and local authority standards.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in electrical building services design, ideally within the public sector (schools, care homes, council buildings).
• Software Skills: Proficiency in Amtech, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD,
• Qualifications: Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• Knowledge of Standards: Strong understanding of BS7671 wiring regulations, Part L, and CIBSE guidelines.
• IR35 Status: Able to operate Outside IR35 as a contractor.
• Availability: Ready for an immediate start.
• Full UK Driving Licence: Essential for site visits across Hampshire.
