Overview
An opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to take on a hands-on role within a specialist consultancy delivering complex maritime and coastal infrastructure projects. Work includes port developments, waterfront regeneration, flood defence schemes, and asset upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical design from feasibility through to construction
- Specify and interpret ground investigations
- Design retaining structures, slopes, revetments, and earthworks
- Deliver solutions involving piled foundations and ground improvement
- Undertake analysis using Plaxis 2D, WALLAP and Oasys
- Liaise with clients and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery
- Contribute to tenders and proposals
Requirements
- Master’s in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Chartered or working towards chartership
- Proven geotechnical design experience
- Familiar with industry-standard analysis software
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Practical, problem-solving approach
