Your Role

As a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be a key player in our team, taking ownership of projects, delivering high-quality mechanical designs, and maintaining excellent client relationships. You will be working on a variety of projects, from local initiatives to international landmark developments, depending on your interest and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering aspects of MEP projects, managing your own discipline while coordinating with other engineering teams.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of your field.
  • Deliver detailed designs and oversee work completed by junior engineers.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships, leveraging your expertise to inspire confidence and drive project success.
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines and align with client expectations.
  • If acting as Project Manager, coordinate tasks, allocate resources, and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, particularly in digital and parametric design, contributing to smarter, more efficient ways of working.

What You Need to Succeed

We are committed to supporting your professional and personal development, but to excel in this role, you should bring:

  • A degree (or HNC) in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, accredited by CIBSE, IET, or IMechE.
  • A proven track record in mechanical building services design.
  • Working towards or having achieved IEng or CEng status.
  • The ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of technical tasks.
  • A passion for client engagement, with strong communication skills to simplify complex ideas.
  • An interest in or experience with digital and parametric design tools.
