Job Title: Senior Pipeline Engineer
Salary: £50-£65 per hour (dependent on experience)
Location: National (Epsom / London / Peterborough / Manchester / Leeds / Glasgow)
Type: Contract (Inside IR35) – On Payroll, 40 hours per week
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Pipeline Engineer to deliver high-quality technical design across a range of transformational UK infrastructure projects. You’ll be involved in every aspect of pipeline engineering-leading design, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the delivery of robust, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
You’ll join a diverse and inclusive team, collaborating across regions and disciplines to create innovative, sustainable outcomes for major national programmes.

Our client is a leading engineering consultancy specialising in water, infrastructure, and environmental design. Their projects span sectors such as aviation, defence, energy, and urban development, providing industry-leading solutions from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver pipeline design projects in line with relevant standards and codes.
- Lead and mentor a technical team to produce high-quality engineering outputs.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and bid inputs.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and project deliverables effectively.
- Collaborate with UK and international teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Ensure adherence to all quality assurance procedures and design governance.
What Our Client is Looking For:
- Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng).
- Proven experience delivering pipeline design projects.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, pipe restraint and jointing, pipeline materials, bedding, and UTX.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software such as HADES, InfoWorks, or EPANET.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Eligibility:
- Must hold Chartered Engineer status.
