Job Title: Senior / Principal Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller
Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Bristol or Cardiff
Type: Permanent, hybrid

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior / Principal Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller to play a key role in delivering and leading major UK water frameworks. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects focused on storm overflow reduction, flood alleviation, and sustainable environmental solutions.

At Principal level, you will also contribute to technical leadership, framework management, and the strategic direction of projects and teams.

You’ll be part of a large, multidisciplinary team delivering infrastructure, drainage design, SuDS, and surface water management solutions across a diverse client base including water companies, local authorities, and developers.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support Storm Overflow Discharge Reduction Plan projects

Deliver flood alleviation and environmental solution development

Develop wastewater catchment strategies and modelling solutions

Ensure technical quality and compliance with industry standards

Manage or support the delivery of projects and programmes

Contribute to tender submissions and fee proposals

Mentor and develop junior team members

Drive technical innovation and best practice

(Principal level) Support framework leadership and client relationship management

What Our Client is Looking For:

Strong understanding of the UK water industry and regulatory environment

Proven experience delivering technically complex projects

Expertise in InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange

Strong background in hydraulic modelling and catchment planning

Ability to review, check, and assure technical outputs

Experience mentoring or leading teams (essential at Principal level)

Strong stakeholder and client engagement skills
