Contract Vacancy: 2x Site Authorised Persons – Operational Engineers – 33kV and/or 132kV
Location: Maidstone / Crawley Area
Rate: £850/day Ltd (Outside of IR35)
Duration: 18 Months

My client owns and maintains electricity cables and lines across London, the South East, and East of England, ensuring reliable, safe, and secure power flow. Main Duties:
– Coordinate daily construction activities with clients and principal contractors to meet program schedules.
– Obtain quotations, raise Purchase Order requests, and manage change processes.
– Provide technical support as part of the regional team and deputise for the Lead Operational Engineer when necessary.
– Identify potential project risks/opportunities and seek continuous improvement.
– Participate in standby rotas, work additional hours to maintain client infrastructure, and respond to faults and programmed activities.
– Assist in developing the ongoing NAMP and deliver maintenance and construction activities within the area of authorisation.
– Represent my clients Services at client and contractor meetings.
– Manage engineering teams and ensure compliance with all H&S procedures during activities.
– Take Field Control of switching operations on client-owned assets and manage protection testing.
– Investigate, diagnose, and correct mal-operations during equipment life.
– Ensure all as-built drawings and relay settings are confirmed in our database before energisation.
– Plan and manage commissioning and plant acceptance testing to set standards and ensure safe energisation.
