Job Title: Structural Design Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid/Flexible Working Available)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Overview:
We are working with a well-regarded consultancy in London that is looking to appoint multiple Structural Design Engineers. These are permanent positions ideal for engineers with around 3-4 years of experience. The team is open to candidates with either a transportation infrastructure bias, experience in temporary works, or both.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver detailed structural design work across a variety of projects
• Collaborate closely with contractors and respond to technical queries during the construction phase
• Ensure all designs are buildable, efficient, and compliant with current standards
• Work within a multidisciplinary environment alongside other engineering teams
• Support junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Around 3-4 years of relevant structural design experience (flexibility for the right candidate)
• Strong background in detailed design – not just feasibility or early-stage work
• Proven experience liaising with contractors and resolving construction-phase design queries
• Familiarity with UK design standards and construction practices
• Experience in transportation structures, temporary works, or a combination of both

Desirable:

• Progressing toward Chartership (IStructE or ICE)
• Proficiency in structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, or similar
• Previous consultancy or infrastructure project experience
