Our client is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their technical team. The selected candidate will hold a senior position within the team and will be responsible for the design of geotechnical packages throughout the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and cost evaluations to the finalisation and verification of formal design packages for retaining solutions.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer position involves interpreting ground investigation and client drawings to produce comprehensive design reports. The candidate will be required to use modelling software to validate proposed solutions and work collaboratively with other members of the technical team to determine initial solutions and create the necessary CAD details.

Responsibilities:

My client, a major engineering consultancy, are looking for a Designer’s Site Representative/Resident Engineer to work on a major Highway Scheme in Kent.

Your role will be site based and you will act as an interface between the design team and the Contractor who is delivering construction of the project. You will ensure that construction is compliant with the provisions of the construction requirements and also the other applicable provisions of the contract. You also will be responsible for resolving commercial and technical issues as they occur and will be monitoring progress in your areas of responsibility.

Key duties will include:

  • Making sure that the construction team understand the design and you will provide further guidance when needed. providing further clarity if required.
  • You will assist in making decisions regarding necessary modifications to design, which will include liaising with the design teams
  • Raising and responding to technical queries and requests for information, etc.

Necessary experience:

Job title: Senior Technical Officer – Rail Track

Role

You will be expected understand all Permanent Way aspects of construction and associated works with the other disciplines and to deliver construction work safely to the level of quality expected by the company and the Client; to budget and in line with all relevant standards, processes and procedures.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking the role of a STO on a projects in central england
  • Hand back/close out engineering experience
  • S+C and plain line track work
  • Controlling all onsite technical activities and quality control.

Essential requirements:

  • Education to HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent suitable experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of permanent way and related engineering principles, including interfaces between disciplines.
  • Safety Management training.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of track standards, processes and procedures.

Job Title: Project Engineer- Rail Track

I am looking for a project engineer with a good p-way background, to deliver track engineering technical excellence for an engineering frameworks across south wales.

Role

You will have previous experience working in a similar role within programmes from a track aspect. This role would suit an existing p-way tech or engineer

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the track engineering on allocated company contracts are technically compliant with the relevant Group, client & company standards.
  • Act as the p-way engineering technical contact and liaison with clients and sub-contractors in order to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure integration of design, installation and testing and that the end product meets the client specification and has technical integrity.
  • Carry out project risk assessments. Assist the Tendering department in the preparation of Tenders.
  • Attend engineering reviews as required for allocated contracts.

Essential requirements:

  • Be a chartered civil engineer (MICE) or working towards it.
  • Have five years relevant experience..
  • Proven experience of managing and controlling the planning, design reviews to delivery of permanent way works

Desirable:

  • Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have a degree in a relevant discipline such as rail Engineering.
