This role is a long term contract position which offers hybrid working out of either the Birmingham or Leeds office.

About the Role:

  • Inspecting and assessing existing LV electrical installations, including MCCs and Power distribution arrangements.
  • Working with engineers from all disciplines to optimise and develop bespoke, ‘value for money’ and innovative designs.
  • Delivery of water designs and specifications on water related projects.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hardware Design Verifier based in either Birmingham.

Role:

The successful candidate will ensure that the hardware design and verification is delivered to the project schedule and the required technical standards, specifications, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Produce and verify designs that comply with company, technical and customer standards
  • Participate in periodic CRE design reviews
  • Attend design review meetings covering the designs produced as and when required
  • Take responsibility for project concept, requirements, assurance plan and project scope when required

Essential Requirements:

  • Control System product knowledge
  • Proficient in the application of CAD packages
  • Hold or working towards Signalling Verifier license

Desirable:

  • Self-motivated and organised
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Signalling Design Delivery Manager based in York. The Signalling Design Delivery Manager will provide technical leadership to the design teams, they will report directly to the Signalling Design Engineering Manager.

Role:

The successful candidate will manage design teams in the safe execution of signalling design activities required to deliver signalling project works.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead a Signalling Design team in the delivery of major and minor project works whilst undertaking the role as CRE Signalling Design
  • Undertake mentorship and coaching to support the succession planning throughout the Design Engineering business
  • Work with the Signalling Design Engineering Manager and project planners to develop and maintain accurate delivery schedules and resource forecasts
  • Undertake work package management and be accountable for the delivery of the engineering activities.
  • Undertake design reviews to ensure design is delivered to programme and output is compliant to scope and applicable standards

Essential Requirements:

  • 8.110 IRSE Engineering Manager (Design) License
  • HNC/HND Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Experience of signalling design with an in-depth knowledge of Signalling Systems
  • Experience of applying CDM (Construction, Design and Management Regulations), CSM (Common Safety Method) and RSSB (Rail Safety and Standards Board)
  • Ability to understand and interpret electrical and electronic circuits, data sheets and specifications

Desirable:

  • 1.550 IRSE Signalling Principles Designer License
  • BSc or BEng degree level education in an engineering discipline
  • Experience tendering signalling design projects
  • Detailed knowledge of signalling interlocking systems
