Looking to add a proven quantity surveyor / senior quantity surveyor to a large team, on a new rail framework based out of London, Kent, South West London.

This is a freelance role, working inside IR35 on an umbrella company basis.

The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor would work closely with the design team, challenging and working to improve commercial efficiency. You would be embedded in this design team, working closely with the engineering staff, the planning team and design houses, to robustly test the commercial efficiency of new designs and try to add value engineering to a project.

Key deliverables

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Lead the delivery of a programme of work and/or a specific area of policy related to major infrastructure projects.

  • Analyse companies’ submissions, including the analysis of complex commercial, financial, and technical proposals, providing effective scrutiny and challenge, and preparing recommendations for senior management including Board level.
