Sam Mayo is an experienced recruitment leader with over 22 years’ expertise in the Rail, Telecoms, and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) sectors. As Head of Telecoms and M&E at Advance TRS, Sam leads the strategy, growth, and delivery of the division, providing bespoke recruitment solutions to clients and candidates across the UK’s Rail, Metro, Underground, and wider infrastructure markets.

Throughout his career, Sam has partnered with leading UK infrastructure organisations to deliver specialist recruitment solutions across Rail, Transportation, Construction, M&E, and Utilities projects. He has built a strong reputation for connecting major programmes with the specialist talent they need to succeed, supporting clients with highly skilled contract and permanent professionals across all levels — from engineers and project delivery roles to senior leadership appointments.

Sam’s expertise spans Telecommunications networks, Security and Information Systems, and M&E systems within highly regulated industries. Whilst his core focus lies within Rail Infrastructure, he also works extensively with clients in Power Networks, Airports, Data Centres, and other major infrastructure projects, supporting them in sourcing niche technical talent for complex programmes.
