About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to join their growing Water Sector team. Based in either Manchester or Croydon, you will play a key role in delivering multidisciplinary design solutions across a variety of water infrastructure projects.
Working within a collaborative team of engineers and technicians, you will lead on the delivery of civil engineering designs across projects ranging from early-stage feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design. The role also offers the opportunity to mentor developing engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the team.
Projects are delivered directly for UK water companies or in partnership with contractors as part of design and construct frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality technical design work to meet client requirements and industry standards
- Support and lead multidisciplinary design schemes within the water sector
- Prepare and review technical documentation, plans and schedules to ensure project deadlines are met
- Liaise with clients, contractors and third parties throughout the project lifecycle
- Promote and maintain best practice in health, safety, environmental and sustainability standards
- Provide guidance and mentorship to developing engineers and technicians
What Our Client is Looking For:
- A relevant Civil Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards it
- Significant post-graduate experience within civil engineering
- Strong design experience, ideally within the water sector
- Experience working with UK water industry clients is advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated and proactive approach to project delivery
- Knowledge of CAD, Revit and BIM methodologies is desirable
- Understanding of sustainable engineering practices
- Experience undertaking hydraulic calculations would be beneficial
- Full UK driving licence preferred
