Location: Hampton
Salary: £65,000 – £80,000 + competitive benefits package

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Regional Commissioning Manager to support delivery across their AMP8 Thames Water programme. Reporting to the Senior Commissioning Manager, this role will take ownership of commissioning activities across a designated region, ensuring efficient delivery through all stages of the project lifecycle.

You will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing commissioning activities, driving safe and effective integration of assets, and ensuring seamless project handover. This is a leadership position with responsibility for both people management and technical delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Resource and line management within the appointed hub/area
• Mentoring and managing apprentices and graduates
• Day-to-day management and coordination of commissioning and commissioning planning activities
• Planning and overseeing process commissioning and testing activities
• Ensuring commissioning is carried out safely in line with regulations and procedures
• Undertaking hands-on commissioning activities when required
• Securing stakeholder buy-in to commissioning plans and ensuring smooth asset integration
• Acting as Commissioning Manager for Hazard Studies 4, 5 and 6
• Collaborating with other regional teams to share best practice
• Working closely with engineering teams to ensure “design for commissioning”
• Preparing and delivering training plans, including coordination with equipment suppliers
• Facilitating continuous improvement through commissioning feedback
• Managing off-site testing and pre-commissioning activities
• Ensuring timely production of commissioning documentation and O&M manuals

About you:

• Degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, or process) or equivalent qualification
• Proven hands-on commissioning experience, ideally within the water industry
• Previous experience operating as a Commissioning Manager in a similar environment
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Solid understanding of commissioning processes across the full project lifecycle
• SAP qualification (desirable)
