I am working with my client, a specialist engineering business, who are recruiting for a permanent document controller / site administrator to join one of their large projects in Central London.

You will be the first point of contact on the project for all matters relating to document control and administration. You will work closely with the project team including the project manager but will also liaise with other parts of the business including HR and Finance.

This is a freelance position to start ASAP. Candidates must be able to start from Monday 19th Feb.

Rate is £15-19ph LTD / Umbrella depending on experience.

The Vacancy:

You will be based on one of their Central London sites as the projects first point of contact for admin and document control on site.

The Electrical Engineer will deliver the EICA design content of water industry projects as part of our clients multi-disciplined Water Design Team based close to Durham.

Projects will include water and sewage works design. This will include the design delivery at all stages, from feasibility and pioneering through to detailed designs for construction.

The duties will range from surveying and reporting on existing installations, to determining the best solutions for pumping stations, treatment works, mechanical screening, sludge handling systems, pipework, gantry steelwork, etc.

What does the role involve?

You will lead the development of our clients’ long-term Water Resources and Drought Planning. Including the risks and opportunities associated with maintaining their long term supply resilience, in the face of challenges such as population growth and climate change, whilst ensuring that they meet statutory obligations for water resources and drought plans. The approach involves working right across the regulated business, and beyond including with regulators, to develop our clients’ long term (25 year plus) Water Resources Management Plan and Drought Plan, and contribute to the related strategies, policies, interventions and investment priorities that are required to deliver the Plan. In addition, you will lead on engagement with the regional water resources planning process, through Water Resources North and support engagement on water resources planning at a national scale (Water Resources National Framework).

I am currently working with a leading, family run civil engineering business who operate in the UK and Ireland. They are in need of a permanent setting out engineer to join this brand new project, due to start in Feb 2024. I am currently working closely with a leading civil engineering business, who operate across the UK and Ireland, to recruit for a Project Administrator to join their business, to work on a site based in Northumberland. The project has not yet started and is due to start imminently. This is a 6 month contract up until the end of the project in June / July 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team from the start of the project and to see it through to the end.

Interviews will take place asap, with a start immediately after. Ideally candidates will be immediately available or on a weeks notice.

You must be able to drive and have a valid driving licence. You will not be considered if not, due to the site location not being near transport links.

As a project administrator you will be managing one project and be the main and primary contact for all administration on site. Job Role: Electrical Design Engineer

Salary / Rate: £45-£50 / hour Outside IR35

Our client is a reputable Design & Build Contractor looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to help support on the Detailed Design phase of multiple MEICA projects on the Thames Water framework.

About the Role:

  • Electrical Design support on a range of MEICA schemes ranging in value.
  • The work will include detailed design input along with supporting each scheme through the project lifecycle.
  • Site visits when required – Thames Water sites
  • Hybrid working

About you:

  • Electrical Degree or equivalent
  • Water industry experienced is preferred or from a transferable sector

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent position as a Senior Site Engineer to work on our client’s high rise residential Bermondsey project. This is circa £170m RC frame project of two 36 storey apartment blocks.

Role:

The successful candidate will manage the engineering function as the senior representative, co-ordinate with the line manager and provide Engineering Leadership for your respective project(s).

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Competent and demonstrates advance awareness in the best forms of dimensional control and is comfortable in rotating global grids into local grid format
  • Ensures site and graduate engineers take responsibility for the management of survey equipment
  • Ensures the the engineering team completes as-built surveys for key elements
  • Inspection and test plans. Can readily display advance knowledge of key packages such as concrete, drainage, steel work and brickwork

Essential Requirements:

  • Competent in understanding the dangers of underground services and risk control procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Significant experience in design management process

Desirable:

  • Managing Safety in Construction training
  • first Aid
  • B.Eng/M.Eng
  • A61 CPCS Lifting Operations Appointed Persons course

  • Chartered status is a mandatory requirement

  • Understanding of basic engineering work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects (c.£100m+), spanning various construction markets.
  • Basic contractual knowledge and experience would be advantageous.
  • Competent in 2D and 3D computer-aided design and engineering tools (CAD)
  • Proficient in 2D finite element analysis software like PLAXIS
  • Experience with geotechnical software such as WALLAP, LPile, GPile, DPile, SlopeW, gINT, or equivalent.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and C++.
