We are currently looking for a talented Designer’s Site Representative (Senior Engineer) to join our client’s highway team, who are working on the A303 Sparkford to Ilchester project. There will also be opportunities to work on other projects in future that will be based out of our Bristol office.

Job information:

You role will be to act as the interface between their office-based design team and the Contractor. You will also be ensuring construction is carried out in compliance with the provisions of the construction requirements and the other applicable provisions of the contract. Your role will require you to resolve technical and commercial issues that occur and also monitor progress in your areas of responsibility.

Key duties include:

  • Ensuring the construction team understand the design and providing further clarity when required.
  • Liaising between the construction team and our design teams where necessary to modify the design taking account of site variations and errors.
  • Raising and replying to technical queries, RFI’s, etc.
  • Ensuring work is carried out in compliance with the designs and specifications.

Experience required:

  • Strong design experience of highways and drainage
  • Experience undertaking a similar site-based role (preferred)
  • To be able to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant subject.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, or you will be working towards it.

Electrical Supervisor

My client is looking for an Electrical Site Supervisor covering the Kent area, working across Southern Water projects including CMDP.

Generally, the site hours will be between 7:00am – 5:00pm and will be an hourly paid position and will be a Permanent role.

Travel pay will also be included at 100% of the hourly rate. The role will include a van and a fuel card although there may be a wait for the van due to the current climate. If this is the case, they will pay 45p per mile up to 10k miles and 20p per mile thereafter.

By calculating the additional benefits, the overall salary will be in the region of £50,000-£55,000 per annum.

Admin Coordinator

This is a key support role within the business services team specifically focused on the compliance management of the contractors we supply to our clients.

Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for the management and administration of various training courses, booking medical examinations and upkeep of bespoke company databases.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administerial and organisational skills who enjoys working in a busy and lively team.

Full training will be offered on all aspects of the role for the successful applicant.

Details of the role and responsibilities include:

  • Booking training courses
  • Booking D&A test and medical examinations
  • Monitoring expiries of worker competencies, D&A and medicals. Arranging recertifications where necessary.
  • Updating the company database with new training providers and contact information
  • Manage authorisation requests for workers to work for other providers
  • Maintain the bespoke sentinel database by monitoring sponsorship of workers
  • Running expiring items reports weekly and chasing up documents from contractors
  • Ordering PPE to be sent to contractors
  • Assisting the team in picking up inbound phone calls

My client is looking for a Survey Manager to join their company to lead a team of surveyors to deliver survey works on multiple ongoing infrastructure framework projects across the UK. The individual will be required to report directly to the Utilities & Buildings BIM Manager on a regular basis and will also manage the survey team to deliver survey works both out on site as well as in the office.
