Role:

  • Identify possible operational risks or opportunities and work with central HSQE team

  • Carry out or contribute to incidents and complaints investigations

Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent in a numerate discipline
  • Professional membership of an appropriate environmental body

  • Knowledge of relevant UK Environment legislation and current best practise guidance

Desirable:

Are you an experienced Estimator ready for a new challenge?

If so, my client are an established contractor who offer design, manufacturing and installation services. With a technical focus on undertaking the installation of pipework including epoxy coated steel, pipework supports, tanks and pressure vessels, access metalwork, and pipe bridges with a heavy focus on the UK water sector.

The role will require you in the Keighley office full time, working alongside the Senior Estimator and established engineering team.

Job role and responsibilities:

  • Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates
  • Identify and provide alternative design proposals, solutions and value engineering options
  • Construct and formulate estimates and resolve commercial issues
  • Visiting sites to undertake surveys and produce associated reports and tenders
  • Maintaining quotation records as required
  • Ensuring profitability of quotations
  • Liaising with clients and sub-contractors
  • Ensuring an effective handover of jobs to Project Managers
  • Preparation of a programme of works for projects
  • Production of drawings, parts lists and any other information required
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers and project managers to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Attending site meetings
  • Carrying out site investigation work as required
  • Ensuring profitability of quotations
  • Liaising with clients and sub-contractors

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Dynamic and specialist experience from an engineering / manufacturing / fabrication / production sector
