Job Title: Civil Engineer

Salary: £50 – £60 (dependent on experience)

Location: Reading

Type: Contract – Inside IR35, hybrid working

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Civil Engineer with 5+ years’ experience who is ready to hit the ground running. You’ll work closely with a senior engineer on a diverse portfolio of projects, including large-scale civil schemes and complex mechanical and electrical designs. Your work will cover design development and, when design work slows, involvement in project management and commercial activities. This role offers significant development opportunities due to the breadth of experience it provides.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design development across civil, mechanical, and electrical schemes
• Work closely with senior engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Support project management and commercial activities during design lulls
• Contribute to the design of pipelines and apply knowledge of hydraulics and sewage networks
• Engage in all aspects of project delivery as required

• 5+ years’ experience in civil engineering
• Self-starter with a flexible, hands-on approach
• Broad design experience across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
• Ability to design pipelines and familiarity with hydraulics/sewage networks
