SITE MANAGER

Having secured major public sector frameworks this large main contracting group have identified the need to recruit a Site Manager out of a Berkshire office covering the Thames Valley region

Role Purpose:
To manage a site or section, covering the day to day activities of the site team, to achieve successful completion in line with Company and Customer expectations. Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and other third parties in the best interests of the business. This role will be supporting public sector frameworks.

Key Accountabilities:

• Oversee all site activities and monitor progress against the programme taking remedial action where appropriate whilst protecting the Company’s contractual position at all times.
• Ensure the effective close out of projects and that snagging commences as specified by the customer from initial site set-up to completion.

• Safeguard the Company’s financial position and report variations to the commercial team.
• Manage prelim costs within budget.

-Managing and mentoring junior staff, working with colleagues throughout the company, and liaising with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.

-Contributing to the development of new best-practice principles and concepts, developing innovative solutions for clients.

Qualifications and Experience

-Candidates will need to be chartered member of CIEEM or equivalent and have demonstrable experience leading a team of ecologists.

-A full driving licence is essential.

-Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation within Ireland and also the UK, including the Habitats Regulations.

-Experience in Phase 1 Habitat surveys and botanical survey techniques.
