We are delighted to announce that Alex Shaw has recently joined Advance TRS as Principal Recruitment Consultant, focusing on permanent recruitment for the Water, Wastewater, River engineering and Flood Risk sectors.
Alex is the latest to join the company’s growing South Coast office, based in Port Solent, Portsmouth. The team is headed up by Water & Infrastructure Director, Rob Kelly. With over 8 years’ experience recruiting for the infrastructure, water and environment industries, Alex has joined the office which was established on the South Coast office in June 2018 and is now the 5th recruit to the team.
The office, with views over the Solent, is Advance TRS’s latest addition as part of the company’s overall acquisition and expansion strategy.

“As a CertRP qualified Recruitment Consultant and Member of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (MIRP) I take pride in providing expert advice and guidance to Civil Engineers and Hydraulic Modellers looking to work within the UK Water engineering sector. I have built strong relationships with water industry clients and candidates over the past 8 years, and I’m looking forward to providing the same high-quality service to clients and candidates.”
